I have been hunting around this old Stone farmhouse for about 4 day's now with my new E-Trac, and have found some great coins at Thia site. I live outside of Baltimore in a very historic area. I found this large Flat Button "very deep" that may have some significant historical value. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be appreciated. Here is what I know. The "Great Seal" was designed in 1782. This button with the Great Seal has "7 stars". Maryland was the 7th state in 1788.

Sitting hear and seeing the house I lived in until I was seven, no way, WOW! My sister Tina was really skinny when we were little and when we would go swimming in the pond just over that hill, she would wear a bikini and me and my brother used to torture her with this song cause she had all the shape of a hot dog. "Teenie weenie, wearing a bikini, dute, dute, dute, ta, do". Gosh, she hated it and we would repeat it.... over and over, over and over and it just drove her nuts. One day she jumped in the pond with the bikini but because she was so skinny it slid right off. So my mom sewed a button about the size of a half dollar, so that her bathing suit top would stay connected to the bottoms and wouldn't slide off again. That seemed to work just fine. I remember that button had a pretty, skinny, rooster looking gold eagle on it which matched her perfectly, looked just like her... skinny and by gosh, you found it:clap:. Oh she will be so excited when I call and tell her the good news. Such a tiny part of our childhood, she will laugh for days! Oh, the tears of joy you will bring her:cry: So would like us to pick it up or would you rather send it? We live in DC now so, you aren't far. And again, my sister will, scared you!
