ID Help Needed.

I found this old (Coin)? today at an old site . It's a little larger than a half dollar. As you can see it has '20' stamped on it (off center). It has a wreath around the 20. On the other side it has what looks like a shield with a little world in it, and a wreath also. Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like a Brazilian counterstamped copper. As the value of the money changed they counterstamped them with new values. These date to the 1800-1830 era as I recall. I have some, but they are not handy for me to look at.
