I was metal detecting close to and old battlefield (Bushy Run) from the French and Indian war and found this about 10inches below.
Does anyone know what it is and can anyone identify it to a time period?
Thanks

I found something similiar one time. I was told it was a bracket that attaches to the rear of a buck board so you can put a horse in tow. It has to be old. Probably mid to late 1800's.. nice find.
