If I buy an E Trac

One important question guys...If I buy an E Trac and go to places I've been before with my Eagle Spectrum without much luck finding the deeper coins, would the results be any different. The answers I get will help me decide.

I took my Etrac to some areas that I though I had cleaned with a GTI, DFX and 2 F75's and now they're new again. I'm poppin silver, ih's and buffs out of this hammered ground every trip. I'd put money on you being surprised by your finds.

I would first have to ask the history of the location. Let me say, IF there were known activities dating back to a time when pennies were IH's, Wheats or the like and the bigger denominations were silver and nickels were Buffalos or V's and the like. Then I would say the E-Trac is one of your best chances to find such coins.

I will say that there are some parks where I hunt that I am digging the "First Settler Era Coins". For central Nebraska, where I live, that is 1890's and up. I am finding coins in parks that I've had people stop and tell me how much the place has been detected. In fact I'm finding coins where I can get other machines to swing over a signal I've found, and have had them tell me they wouldn't dig it. I'll then call out the coin and we'll dig. Out will pop a IH, or an old V or Buff. These are running 8-10" deep, many times with trash and iron in the hole. This has been my experience.

Some places I hunt, I'm only finding coins into the 1920's. This is a wet park area and has had its share of flooding. These type of places are ones that a guy can go and experiment with settings and sensitivity to see just what the machine can do.
