BIG Picture!

All gold is 10K. The Golden Avenger is happy sportn' all of that Loot!!
It's late--Lucky for you!!! No Looonnngggg story...(just medium sized tonight)
Whelp--This past weekend--Had my best ring count EVER so far--5 Rings!! Last year had a 4 ring night...hopefully this trend continues exponentially!
Started out w/ the silver heart all the way on the right.
Got it early on--unusual since I'm normally begging for silver at the end of the hunt to keep the Silver streak alive--7 hunts in a row now!
Been looking for gold for awhile now--last time I struck the gold vein was a month ago...
Took the "if you build it, they will come" attitude. Took my time, made tight S patterns and hoped for the best, but not high expectations--not many targets on this night...just enjoying being alive and out on the beach hearing the waves gently rolling in and kissing the shore.
Picked up a low growl..scoop..nothing..scoop saw the end of it. Great, a pull tab.
Pulled it out, a ring!!
It was bent right in the middle...the thin part was what was sticking out in the sand in my scoop--which made the ring look like a pull-tab
I presumed it was gold, but it was dark & I didn't have a light on me. i didn't want to get too excited till I knew--been fooled before....
Ran into David from Suffolk (actually other way around, he ran into me--I'm a slow detectorist (no flame zone)
) a little while later and showed him. He had a light so I could see the 10K mark!!
Stones are purplish--wife thinks it could be tanzanite--which she likes!
Next up came the heavy Silver band--6 Grams! Had high tone, but looking at it in the dark, you had to wonder....
Next was the gold on the left. Tiny diamond chips...currently wearing that one...
It was time to hunt back. I had approx 78 cents in my pocket.
I have a rule, I will not leave the beach without at least $1 during the summer months.
Hunting back--found a dime. Keep a swingin'..Come on quarter...come on dime, come on nickle.......nothing!!
"Don't make me dry sand it to make my $1..."
Getting close to the stopping point...low tone...Ok..nickle please
Scoop...out comes the tri-colored hearts!! My 5th ring of the night!!!
New record!!
Wife promptly claimed that one--she likes the tri-colored stuffs
This literally came about 40 feet from the stopping point...so it was found in the last minutes of the hunt!!
I'm watching a couple of newlyweds taking pictures around the pier & in the water......
Still need approx 15 cents...(I wasn't leaving till I had my $1!)
Start hunting the dry sand--First signal....started digging
Don't know if I was tired, distracted by the newlyweds or just was terrible at pinpointing, but after about 5 or so scoops--Quarter!!
Said Thank you, turned off the machine and went up to rinse off my equipment.
