Which one would it be? I will be hunting mainly old homesteads, parks/schools and freshwater beaches.
 
Sounds like your primarily a coinshooter.
If your ground mineralization is okay, say under 55 then I would only need the 4X6 DD for those highly trashy areas. Your stock 950 will do for the rest.

The stock coil works ok at the beaches, The 5 inch coil is super at separating targets and gets good depth. I had the 4x6 and the 5 inch ex coil works better not to mention it is cheaper, then you can take what you save and start saving for the 14 inch ex. coil which does a good job in trash and will get better depth than the stock coil. A DD coil will do better at the beaches but the MXT is not the smoothest detector for the beaches but it will work and does find deep stuff, just gotta put up with a little chatter at times.
