Sure is nice to think about. I know that land has had a "good going over" by a lot of people back years ago, but maybe some things were left behind. I'd bet it hasn't been hunted in the last 20+ years, so the technology of the newer detectors may help me out in finding the things left behind.

I have found some Civil War bullets and other nice finds not too far from there. There is an old Antebellum house just up the road from me that served as a hospital during the CW. The people who own it now do not allow people to detect there. :-( THAT is another place that I'd like to be turned loose on. It's called "The Beason House" because the Beasons owned it way back when. I've heard tons of stories about how that house is "haunted" and have some very close friends who claim to have seen some very strange things in that yard at night and on the old road that runs in front of the house. I don't believe in ghosts as far as them being the spirits of dead people, but I do believe in demonic activity and that it can be associated with a house, land, etc., so I'm sure these people are probably telling the truth.

The videos are slow for me to open and see, but finally did see it! Really nice to find a bunch of coins like the ones hidden in an old tin of some kind....maybe Watkins Salve or something like that....whatever the had during or after the Civil War! I always liked to dig up several coins in one hole, especially silver ones! It makes you less tired and ready to continue when finding something really good no matter how tired a detectorist may get! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
