Here are 3 targets I dug my last hunt that had some iffy signals to them, some more than others. They were mostly deeper signals (7" - 9") and some in iron (those two things can add to the "iffyness")
There are many things you can look for with iffy signals - Is the sound iffy? Crosshairs jumpy? Pinpoint is not on target (e.g. - iron)? Is your sensitivity too hot (can cause jumpy cross-hairs)? Is your ground somewhat mineralized and you are running high trash, or is your ground non mineralized and maybe you are running ground coin, etc.? Etc.
Enjoy,
Albert
