I am looking at buying a 5900 Di Pro SL. My buddy swears by his and he is a very successful coin hunter. My concern is that it isn't as deep seeking as my Minelab. Any comparisons out there sure would be appreciated. (only reason for asking is another buddy told me they weren't a very deep searching machine). A little unsure! HH.

A buddy and I were in SE Az doing some treasure hunting. He was swinging a Whites 4900 and I had an original Sov. with 8", 10", and s12 coils. In that mineralised ground he whupped my a$$. It didn't matter which coil I stuck on the Sov. or how I set it, he got stuff deeper and smaller. We buried targets and tested the detectors to make sure. ...Willy.

Hey Willy for coin shooting I don't know of many units that can keep up the 6000/XL-Pro series. They like to be swept fast and they can cover an area fast. These units are number for what they do and their depth is very good if you crank up the signal balance so if you like a fast sweeper they are the way to go.
