I've been on my 8 day stretch of days off.I've been hunting a little everyday.I've been finding at least one silver coin per day.Yesterday I went with my neighbors. They got permission to hunt some cabins on the south end of Clear Lake. They were supposed to be from the 20's and 30's.The cabins were moved in about 1965,I found out later.I found a 1960 Rosie dime, some wheaties,1945 nickel and a few clad.I also found a heavy sterling silver ring.It is a small ring size bit real thick. It has a heart as the setting with a pearl(?) in the center. We then went to an old spot I had permission to hunt. It's an old dance/hall turned supper club, turned 4H camp, turned Bible camp then burned down.It has been hunted hard .I found a handfull of wheaties and some clad.My neighbors found a 1943 Mercury dime in perfect shape. They found 4 wheaties. The ground at this spot is white with alkali mineralization.
I love the sizing feature on the 2500.I was digging coins while my neighbors were removing deep pop and beer cans that falsed as coins.I'm going to try a night hunt tonight. It is a lot cooler and a breeze comes up and keeps the bugs off.Bill
