I'm back, best day this year!!

got out today starting at7am for a 8 hour three park hunt. I noticed that since I started digging all the good tones looking for IH's my zinc count went way up!

found a 1917 merc rang in at 1-38 1-42(only silver of the day) 9 IH's 17 wheats(puts me well over the 200 wheat mark this year) 2 buffalo's and 2 V nickels

Seems odd that before you had trouble finding stuff, just get it back and you find all that. But the techs said they did nothing? Sounds like something changed! I think they just don't want to say what they did to it.

I was running my MD Too hot in very trashy areas, I couldn't get it too stop pin balling above 17 or 18 sens. I believe them that nothing is wrong, it is definitely me on my learning curve! must have done a master reset, I had to re enter my modes. I have been hunting in TTF with the open relic screen a lot, this time I put it in so it was TTF in the coin program screen...much quieter and I seemed to hear the good targets a lot cleaner....if that makes any sense. the open screen must have been too much for my brain to take in as a newb! the Merc was an interesting find, when hunting in TTF I tell myself to dig every repeatable signal below 4"...this was at 11" and bouncing between 1-38 and 1-42, but it was a good signal and tone...very surprised at seeing silver. I thought it was going to be something else.
also I started really listening to the tones, and I only dug a few rusty nails today...I hate leaving the iffy 12-46 thump tones behind, but they were only hitting from one direction.
