I'm Back With More Finds!!!! I Love My Explorer XS!

Went to another site today and thought it was going to be tough. It was anything but that! This site was pounded last year and me and another guy worked this same area. I was in disbelief as to what I was pulling out of the ground. I went slow (pretty much a crawl) and had my sensitivity at 24 Semi-Auto. This area was really junky and I was using the stock coil. Next time I am going to try my Joey Coil or the 8" Coil for better seperation. I know I walked over a lot of targets since there was so much trash and iron but I will do a better job next time. My finds today were 8 Silver. They included 1 Barber Quarter dated 1896, 2 Washington Quarters dated 1934 and 1942-d, 1 Barber Dime dated 1905-s, and 4 Mercury Dimes dated 1926,1934-d,1943-d and 1945-d. The 43 and the 45 are in Perfect shape like the day they were minted and they still have the coin luster. They are in the Silver pic and I also did the 2 Dimes seperate so you could see the details. I also found 2 Indian Heads dated 1900 and 1906. I found another 19 Wheats dated (2)1913,1914,1916-d,1927,1928,1929-s,1930-s,1936-d,1937-s,1942-d,(3)1944-d,1947-d,1948-d,1949,1956-d, and 1958-d. I found a 1959 Memorial and also a 1952 Canadian Penny. There is more Misc. finds and one of them is pictured on the left. The casing for it was crumbling due to it being iron and am not sure what it was but it had the triangle red piece of plastic in it and the little figure of a priest holding a small child in his arm. I thought is was pretty neat and it is made out of aluminum. It has some words on the bottom front and back but can't make them out. Pics are below. I went back last fall and had no luck finding any silver. I only got a couple Wheats and an Indian Head and I was with 2 other friends and no-one got any silver that day either except for a War Nickel. Only other finds that day were a V-Nickel, a few more Wheats and another Indian Head. That is why I can't believe the luck on Monday! Hope you get out and have the luck I have been having lately and Good Luck and HH.

I certainly hope I keep raking in the finds that I have been able to uncover recently. Nothing better than going out and finding more than you thought a peron was going to get. May you have luck like this on your next venture out.

Just wait until I hit a few more virgin areas hopefully this year and then you will see just how much silver I can get in about 8-10 hours once. Thanks for the great compliment and hope to post more finds like these soon.

I still find it amazing what this machine can and will do either in clean areas or junk infested areas. I just wonder who or what kind of detector will out perform the Explorer in lets say the next 10 years. Right now the thing is unbeatable and the next best thing to x-ray vision. Got to love the Explorer XS's and the 2's.

I run in Iron Mask -8 Conduct Tones. I usually run in DEEP but if super trashy I will go to FAST. I run at 22 Semi-Auto also. Gain is set at 10. The reason for using Iron Mask is I don't want to miss any types of Tokens and other things like Jewelery as well. And I swing the coil very slow so it can get a chance to look thru the trash for the hidden coins. That is a KEY part and is why I am doing so well this year for finds. Also the lower sensitivity is a big plus as well.

This site I have is unbelievable. There are coins everywhere and they are deep. Some are in the 6" range but most are deeper than that. I can't even imagine how many coins are still there under all the trash. I might just start digging the trash sometime just to see what I find.
