I'm getting so sick of this stinking wind..

We've had a week of this crap already, 30-40 MPH wind every day and 100 MPH winds out in the Gorge. This wind just cuts through you if it doesn't blow you across the street and freezes you right to the bone. I'll be so happy when it runs out of gas.

Bill

I'm sick of 25 degrees. This is not cool. I am ready for at least 50 degrees. That would be like summer time.

It's bad in alot of places. It was -4 degrees a couple days ago. And
now its about 12 degrees above this Sunday. And there is wind so
you can imagine the wind chill factor. I'm hunkered down at Barns
And Noble Book store taking advantage of their free WYFI internet
cafe. Katz is not happy.

I didnt know it was so windy up that way. Its just foggy here...all the time. But the temp is around 50. I havent been to Portland yet, might go to the gold show near there, no Roseburg this year.

Is that the area where the surf borders are? I heard they like the Columbia for that, not sure which part though.

You were thinking along the same lines as I was John. I was going to suggest that he lay off the baked beans for a bit.
Mick Evans.

I feel for you Bill.

I watched the segment on the national news where it showed the "weather geeks" with their wind meters fighting to stand up near a summit by the gorge and measuring the 100 MPH winds.

All I can say is --- Hang in there. It's bound to change.

Of course, if it's like Kansas, it seems like it usually goes from one extreme to the other --- and then back again! LOL

And here I been saying that I'm tired of the stink'n fog. Haven't seen sun in weeks - and the days when we get a little breeze, not only does it fell wet, the little breeze makes it cold and miserable - I hate wind so I feel for ya. So look at the bright side.... when it breaks and you can get out, it will feel "Oh So Nice" :sleepy:

Yeah the high winds are in the Gorge and it's like a giant funnel right into Portland. Hood River area is the wind surfing capitol of the U.S.. People come from all over to surf there. With those high winds the Columbia had ten foot waves on it. Some idiot took his new sail boat out and it plastered him against the Washington shore and the Coast Guard had to rescue the big dummy. How retarded can one get taking a sail boat out in 100 MPH winds.

Anybody interested in a used sail boat????
Only had it out once.

I've learned not to feed the boss garlic, in anything. Her stinking wind drives me from the bedroom!

Stinkfoot you need a supply of Gas-X:rofl:

The weather finally got back to normal (about 70 degrees F) here in south Florida, following some abnormally chilly days. Global warming? Yeh, right.

Wish I could invite "y'all" down here to warm up, but this joint of mine is overflowing with purchased items of many hobbies (5 bows? who needs five bows? (excuse: well, one's a Red Wing Hunter, at least 4 decades old; and the two Quinns, well, they're Quinns...)Six pennywhistles, who needs six pennywhistle? Who needs a half-dozen harmonics? Two fiddles? Survival gear? Firearms? Fishing crap? Unplayed mandolin? Unused snorkeling gear? Guitar? Unused roller skates? A dozen or so slingshots? BB guns? Etc. Perhaps I should do some craiglisting!
I'd probably make more money than MDing:confused:

Warmth to my MD fraternity,

Mike
