I'm going to La Grande Oregon for a couple days in in June......

If anyone in the area has info on old places I can hunt around there, please contact me. I'd love to get together with others from the forum for a hunt or go it alone if need be.
La Grande is a very historic area and was a much used winter camp on the Oregon trail. There's gotta be some cool stuff to be found there.........somewhere <img src="/metal/html/confused.gif" border=0 width=15 height=22 alt=":?">

LaGrande is a short drive for me and I get over that way several times a year. Usually when headed to sites in Utah or Nevada.
I don't have any specific sites I can comment on right now, but I might be able to get away and make it over there some Saturday or ?? when you're going to be there. Often I can find some renovation work going on in town and pop some silvers.
Keep me posted and I am continuing with some research in that area.

I'll be there the 10th-12th for my daughters collage graduation. I've only been there once before, so I wouldn't have a clue where to start looking for good places to hunt other than schools or parks.
The afternoon of the 10th will probably be my only chance to sneak away for a few hours.
Hope to hook up, I always enjoy meeting fellow hunters and creating a hunting memory or 2.
