I'm not getting any younger......

Lil Brother

New member
or for that matter, any older if it was left up to my dear old sister. I guess since she is out of town, I'll go ahead and tell this story.

No matter what happens, Linda will ALWAYS be 4 years older than me and 4 years younger than John. Well, bless her little senile heart, this year she took out an ad in the local newspaper,(and Im sure it has a picture attached to it), wishing me a Happy 50th birthday. That is very sweet of her to do this , but there is only one catch---she decorated my office LAST YEAR with all the little black baloons etc, etc. You see, last year was the year that I actually turned the big 5 0.

It seems that the older she gets, the more she seems to forget:lol: Last weekend Linda, John, my wife Carol, and myself took a trip to see my other brother and Linda kinda brought this subject up to me. I could tell that she was a little bit embarrassed and didnt quite know how to tell me. What was really funny though was when she mentioned if we thought that she could get her money back from the newspaper:wiggle: I dont know if she even tried or not, but I cant wait to see the Monday edition of The Benton Courier:lol: All of my old girlfriends are going to think that Im getting younger not older.

Oh well, I just thought that I'd let you good folks know what you are dealing with when you deal with Sunny! Be sure and wish her a Happy 56th birthday and Arkie a Happy 61th!!As for me; well, I'll be 50 again this year! Am I the only one of us left with a darn MEMORY?? Geeesh!

We love you anyways, sis. Always have for fifty-five of your years now.

Isn't 55 the magic number for consideration in AARP? And think! She can now qualify for certain "senior citizen discounts" now.

Welcome to the club, old folks!
