Fort Benning, GA, just 100 miles east of me. I will be going up next month for family weekend while he is in Basic training, he gets a 30 hour pass and said Uncle Ray, I want a steak, I said Joey, you can have as many steaks as you can eat in 30 hours. I know my brother would be so proud of his son as I am, his Uncle

I can follow Joey's training on Facebook, the Captain updates it everyday with news and photos of our young warriors, Alpha Company Wolfpack 1-50, 2nd Platoon

Joey wants to go Airborne, he's only 10 points from Airborne jump school, it's good to know he is in good hands, Joey's mentors and I gotta say, this old Marines also, take care of my nephew Airborne and bring him home safe
