When using the Impact, can you tell the difference if you get a quarter vdi and a bottle cap of the same (or close in the numbers), which technique do you guys use: a) sweep the coil and pull back to hear the iron grunt or b) raise the coil to hear the iron grunt?
Which technique works better or not? Or do you have any special tips that would like to share? I use DI2 and DI3 search modes 75% of the time and VLX1 25% of the time hunting in moderate to high mineralized soil. Gain settings is set to 82 to 88 but lower the gain for VLX1. Fe Vol set at 5.
