In St Paul Minn. for the weekend. Gold in the first lake!

I'm up in St paul for the weekend. Hit on of the many lakes in the area. Tons of trash about 50 coins and a beautiful old ring with rubies or garnets will have to have it checked when I get home.

Probably won't do much dirt fishing unless someone from around here wants to go out Sunday afternoon.
Give me a call 773-320-7569
I'll be back in one of the lakes first thing in the morning.

Ron. I left you a voicemail. I will be hunting in St. Paul on Monday. Give me a buzz.

Later,

Did you find any Old Coins when hunting this area where the Ring was found??? Could have some good stuff if you really work it hard. Congrats on a great looking Ring and hope it's worth a few bucks. Good Luck and HH.:detecting:

nice gold ring

Joe, John< Dreamweaver and myself hit the west side parks Saturday. We did OK. I am thinking an E-Trac. Good luck and we might can get out together next week. Jim P.

How deep in the lake are you taking your Explorer? Or did you have a different water detector?

Thanks Dan I was using the whites surfmaster freshwater machine. They don't make it anymore, and now they don't even have any coils left. when this coil dies I'll have to up grade to a different machine.
There is tons of iron in all the lakes up there. Most of the goood signals are gone, only signals are masked by iron. I dug about 50 coins none old. Lots of junk though!

I have also been digging a lot of trash lately at an old beach area I stumbled upon. I hope to pull something good out but haven't thus far.
Your ring has given me me the much needed hope to keep on trying. It sure is a nice one.
