In the market for a new digital camera....

My old Sony Mavica FD-75 bit the dust a month ago. Granted, it was only a 1.2 megapixel, but for macro shots of coins and jewelry, it was a pretty good camera.

Things that I'm looking for in a new camera:
Rechargable battery pack, preferably not a camera that runs on AA or AAA batteries.
Ability to take nice macro shots of coins without additional lenses.
Since I'm used to a measley 1.2 megapixel, anything better than that would be great, so, say, anything starting from 3 megapixels and up.

Tax refund is coming, so getting a camera shouldn't be a big problem. However, most of my refund dollars are already earmarked for other things, so price is an issue. I don't really want to go over $350.00

Look at Fuji,Canon and Nikons in your price range.
Technology has changed greatly since your Mavica.
You will be amazed at what you can get for your money these days.
