In this corner the Challenger

Hails from Turkey wearing the red trunks the MR. In the other corner from the USA wearing the camo trunks the 19. Lets get ready to rumble.:punch:

And the winner is the Chinese identical knock-offs of both for 1/2 the price. ;-)

I'm sticking with Fisher. Made in America by Mexicans.

Charlie,

There's a lot of truth to your crack about the Mexicans - except that they are extremely talented engineers who got their degrees from the Technical University of Chihuahua and their early work experience at Delphi, the automotive electronics giant. Young ambitious and smart people who work hard to design a quality product. For folks like that, I'm all for open borders! If you are trying to hire bright young engineering talent to work in .el Paso, you don't even bother to look in silicon valley, just the Rio Grande Valley!

They have my money and admiration willingly and I even put another $309 into a 2007 Fisher detector because I believe in their product. I'm not complaining.

George be interesting to see what you think when comparing the two detectors. Might have to sell my F19 to buy a Racer!

They are shipping so soon we will have real world info from every day joes and janes. My guess is some rounds will go to the racer others to f19. I would also like to see the T2 DST get a chance. It is the Teknetics flag ship detector.

I have already tested the Makro Racer vs the Teknetics G2 vs the Teknetics T2 DST.
The Racer wins when it comes to the easy to use interface.
The Racer goes in overload at sens 70 when outside temperatures are below 41 degrees fahrenheit. They still have some work to do with that unit.

G2 wins the depth test in mineralised soil ( 3 bars Fe3O4)
G2 wins for best target ID in bad soil and stability at high sensitivity settings.
T2 DST wins the depth test against the Racer and G2.

So the real "racers" are the Teknetics in my test and I bet the Fisher F75 and F19 will do the same.

Andy,NM--interesting that your Racer goes into overload below 41 degrees F---several of the utube videos were shot in Below freezing temps and this was not mentioned.Could yours have a quirk?

The test results George----the test results!!!!!---------We been waiting in HIGH anticipation (nail biting) of the results/comparison test of your F-19 (5X10 coil) versus the challenger red trunks Racer (with 5X10 coil on board).------Whattcha think---whattcha think?????------Is one (or the other) a knock out over the other---points decision-----or----draw????

The test will occur this weekend. I marked a few targets yesterday found with the Racer. I will first check them with the 19 then dig them.

Frank,
I would hold on to that F19. It is a winner and problem free so far. HH

Keeping the F19 for now, but have a Makro Racer on the way plus the small coil. Got lucky and found a new one, it was pre-ordered and the guy changed his mind.

good report Andy, the upcoming G2+ should do even better. Another benefit for the Racer is a lower price....but I'll be saving my clad for the upcoming G2+ purchase...
