Indians on the war path

all iron

Member
This morning i went out to the local stadium
The same stadium i mentioned in prior posts as being "Hunted Out"
The same stadium where i found the 1918 Standing Liberty Quarter

Well, as i was preparing to leave and hit a local park, i got a signal at the base of a tree that was jumping around From 71 to 89 so i decided to dig and at about 3 inches "Maybe" out popped a 1903 Indian head penny! Oh the Adrenalin was flowin then as this was my first and oldest coin to date ( still hadn't broke the 1900 mark)

I filled the hole in as i always do and decided to scan the hole again and still had a signal ( i had to look! ) and again another Indian Head 1905 this time ( now I'm shakin in my sneakers!

I scanned the hole one more time and still another signal. This time it was a 1884 Indian head! ( SWEET)

I'll try and post pictures very soon as soon as i figure a good way to safely clean them up enough for a photo op!!
Any suggestions on cleaning would be appreciated.

I did go on over to the park and searched around the base of some very large old trees and pulled out a 1951 Rosie buried up underneath the tree base.

Those hunts always gets you pumped. Can't wait to see those pictures. I've only found 2 in the year and a half i've been detecting. Can't imagine findind 3 in one hole. What detector are you using? :super:

Good hunt. Indians are always neat to find and finding 3 in one hole will get the old ticker working. Nice find to get into the 1800's. HH jim tn
