infinium DD coil

Are there any infinium DD coils available that are foam filled or use a light weight epoxy? The 10x14 weight is on the heavy side

No foam filled ones. All filled with epoxy. If you have issues with muscle pain or fatigue, you can either hip mount the Infinium, use a shoulder harness to off load some weight, go to a straight rod for a different detector balance, or get the 8" round coil, which is a very awesome coil.

This may be your answer, there is also a

2216700 10" x 5" ELIPTICAL Power
"DD" COIL This coil is not epoxy-filled and so is very light, but as a result is only waterproof to wading depths. Only marginally less depth than the stock coil. A very nice coil to use with the Infinium if the control box is hip-mounted. Good for working in tight quarters such as small depressions, and easier to pinpoint targets with this coil.

and
same as about, but even smaller

I have used both in river detecting great for in-between rocks - in tight spaces
Garrett may still have some in their OLD stock. The 8" is a mono coil, but is still a sweet coil.

using an atx that has extensive work done to it. Using the infinium DD coils on it. I will try the 10x5 if I can find a seller that will ship to Asia. None so far.
The coil weight is such a lapse in judgement by Garrett. Why haven't they addressed the issue is beyond me.
I really like the atx but the weight will make using it daily an impossible task.
