infinium ls 5by 10 coil need to water proof

The oval coils are waterproof to 10 feet, 3meters.
I got the info from Garrett years ago when I first got my Infinium and small coils.
I wanted to use the smaller coils in a river. I did so for several years will no ill affects on the coils.
The reason, so I was told, is that the small white oval coils are buoyant and not epoxy filled, yet they are a sealed unit. Because they are NOT epoxy filled, be careful not to bang them hard into a rocks. They are not as rugged as even most land coils.
