Infinium LS question ...

Willee - Texas

Well-known member
I understand the Infinium LS is a PI type detector.
I read some where that it does have some form of iron discrimination.
The two tones, low and high, will change.
Is this true and does it really work in salt water?

True and OUTSTANDING in salt water. I have been using one for 10+ years.

Been hunting the "Inferno " about 7 plus yrs. Absolutely a contender for wet salt sand, wading. Two tones are a treat. Can be belt mounted to reduce arm fatigue. It has a good nose for nickels so good for gold if its around. Another great asset is you can switch out the various coils because it isn't hot wired. If you can get a hold of one it's a darn good water machine.

I called Garrett about 18 months ago to see if they had any infiniums left over for sale. They told me they had about 15 and I was able to purchase one. I wanted it to use for salt water use primarily. It is very stable in wet sand and surf. Great detector.

Yeah and you can inter change different coils too.
