Hi everyone, This is the first time posting on this forum. I have a minelab e-trac for land but looking at a tesoro water detector. just wanting to know how many people on here use the tesoro underwater detectors and how do you like them. Is there anyone on here that use a tesoro land detector and a different brand water detector? Thank you and HH.

pointer80,
Salt or fresh water?

I have a Sand Shark that I use in fresh and salt water. It gets more use in salt water. If there is a lot of iron trash around, I'll normally switch to one of the VLF types of detectors. With the pulse induction, it can be difficult to identify iron so most all targets get dug up. Sand Shark gets very good depth.

Yes I have the tiger shark with the 8 " coil. I like the smaller coil . A little more secetive to smaller gold. Easy to operate. I only hunt fresh water with it. I run very low disc.. I dig everything.

I own an e-trac and just purchased a tiger shark. Haven't used it yet, but from what I read I think I would like it.

Fresh water, I'd lean towards a Tiger Shark.

I see you posted on the beach / water / scuba forum too and are getting a lot of feedback there.
Cheers,

Tesoro water detectors may not be the deepest but excell in fresh water for gold jewelry especially small stuff other units won't touch....even an older land model that you can body mount and stuff the control box in your waders will outdo most other brands...
