Information about the CS4PI !!

To introduce myself:I am a treasure hunter from Switzerland ,hunting for 15 years the beaches of the mediterranean Sea as well the ones of the North European cost.I used different VLF machines up to now, the latest was the MXT, that worked well on the wet beach with the 1400 DD Deepscan.Actually i own a Tesoro Cortes, which you can forget on the wet sand.

I would expect if a descrete discrim.,is what you are after the garrett seahunter is the one for you,especially for pulltabs an such.if I was to buy a new unit for beach etc.This is probably the one!
The CS4 is cheaper an been around I think for nearly 10yrs in various revamped versions.but doesnt offer this descrete descrim. only two simple control,for sensitivity an freq. Many Euro users are happy in this simple PI config. an things havent had to change much,just works well for what it is! The Euro Forums from the UK may get some more usefull info an review info on these units,Not a Lot here! I Own a much earlier CS6 pi unit ,again not much different from the CS4 in Pi performance.
again is scant useful info for this unit as well,even though these CScope machines been around for quite a long while?any many People like them.
As to no dig Iron on the Garretts,I dont know? If I was to buy New though it would be the Garrett,as a more modern design with descrete descrim. to try.although a few Euro or such more?
Hope you get some more forum members that actually own these machines to respond to you with more relevent an usefull info.

You are comparing apples and oranges with these two machines.

You have the Garrett that has been around for years thats a diving machine and still quite expensive at over

The only drawback to the Cscope is detector volume when hunting the beach on a windy day.

This may call for the "fix" thats needed for many of the C-Scope range ie a change in the value of the, hang on just having a senior moment, resistor ? at the socket where the headphones plug in. This is assuming that they use the same set up as on their older motion machines.

I have a garrett and it's ok but I would go without the discrim and buy a CS4PI..................much better,deep and a lot cheaper although you are going to do a bit more digging -it's definately worth it..............all I can say is bye,bye garrett!!!-if you catch my drift!

I`m very interested in deepseeking, so my question about selfmade stuff for the PI machine from C-Scope is the following:

is it possible to built a homemade wire coil to get deeper/bigger treasure? Every other PI machine could be fitted by a 1meter x1meter frame...
If possible, please tell me how to do...? Thank you in advance

Hello Christian,

I have just read your mail regarding your interest in the Cscope CS4PI. You mentioned that you live in Switzerland, I also live in Switzerland, in St. Gallen and it would be nice to get in touch with other people here who are interested in metal detecting. I come from England and still do some detecting there. Like you I am also interested in beach detecting and am looking to buy a PI machine in the near future.
