Interesting day

I came across a new home owner in my neighborhood that had some top soil brought in and had spread it around the front yard. It varied from a couple of inches to 6 or 7" deep. I obtained permission to search and this is what I came up with in about and hour and a half.
Yes, that is a live 30-06 rifle cartridge and a 1946 Rosie! What I didn't take a picture of is all the foil, aluminum nails, siding bits and pieces of copper wire I dug up. It was a fast and furious hunt!

Treasure is where you find it! Any day I can bring home a piece of precious metal makes for a "even better day" of detecting :detecting: Looks like that rifle shell has some age to it also...wonder what else was brought in with the soil? Good luck and HH!

WOW at least you got some silver , very good hunt
