Hello All,
Today I hit my father in laws yard. Old part of town. Thought I might find some silver, but ended up with some relics instead. Lovin it!!!
Got a 29 and dug up a (kids?) stirrup. Looks to be iron. Love to know how old it is. The pin back rang up a 34-35. The lead man could be a soldier, looks like it could be a WWI. Would love to know the ages of these items. Will post in whatzit also.
Thanks for looking,

Thanks Prep, I agree, especially since it was under the oak trees with a breeze blowing.

Thanks kschae4, What really has me curious is the pin with the compartment in back. Another link was given to me that referenced a perfume co. Guess you could put something aromatic in the vented part and it would make you smell good which might lead you to the "merry widow" find!!

Way to go bunker. Love the blackface relic! Is he missing his griile? Lol! Good to see you out. Good posts man.

Hey Lud, Hit it really hard all weekend. Found a copper cigarette holder today, 2 out of 3 parts. Labeled 1925 Dragon Club which is a local club here in St. Pete. Cool piece. Haven't had time to post it today. Have to go and pay the bills tomorrow, so not hunting till Fri night.
Enjoy the rest of your week,

Bunker....Great finds! I usually go just for the coins, gold and silver finds but you naturally come across items like these as you hunt so it's cool to see what the ground gives up occasionally! have a great Labor Day weekend!!
