Even though I am an E-Trac user, I find this forum contains much more sharing of detecting know how and I spend a lot of time reading it. It kind of seems like the moderator of any given forum has his/her personality traits evident and that forms the attitude displayed and the way posters respect one another. A kind, gentle, highly experienced Bryce certainly is an asset to this part of Findmall. Ever see anyone else who is a true Garu in the detecting world as open as he? Jim

This is a great site.... but ive also used the whites DFX site the previous moderator Dave Z really knew his stuff as does Larry. DFX ONLY has some real Garu's as well with Jeff Foster and Jimmy Serria always willing to answer questions.. Jeff's technical knowledge is just unmatched and i highly recommend any of his books be read by anyone using a detector. Im not trying to take anything away from Bryce. He is a real asset with a wealth of information.

Jim...your kind words mean more to me than you can imagine....thank you.

If it wasn't for this forum...and the truly great people on here who helped me through the loss of my mom last year...my life might be a whole lot different right now.

Many of the people on here on the Explorer forum have honestly become like family to me...and like you...I learn a lot from reading the posts of other members. It is amazing how much we can all learn from other hunters. Nobody knows it all...at least I dont....and nobody has a right or wrong way to hunt.

I have met some wonderful people here and have a lot of invitations to travel and hunt with members as well. Unfortunately my father's health is not and has not been good at all. Not sure what the time frame is...but like mom..he is a fighter in every sense of the word. The doctor gave him just a few months..and that was nearly 2 years ago. He is a strong feller'

I can't venture too far away from home to hunt..and that is just the way it will be right now. No way I'm getting too far away from my pops.

I have had quite a few people travel a few hours to hunt with me because they know I can't get too far away from home...and it means more to me than I could ever express in words.

Guvner...the owner of this site has done it on numerous occasions...and although sometimes when we hunt I would like to pop him in the mug...it means a lot to me.

Notoriety and attention mean NOTHING to me...but respect means the world to me.
