Put the 11" coil back on the Omega this morning, ran sen 99, 1 disc and mostly d2 tones. Rather then get to far off the trails this morning, I pretty much hunted parallel with the trail(s) from the edge and back in about 10 yards. There is more trash along the edges, but frequently more keepers, too. I did manage 2 silver pieces, a 44 Mercury and a 925 marked post ear ring. Also got a money clip, but the only thing it contained was dirt. Got a low 50's reading near the end of the hunt and kicked some leaves away and spotted gold. Not sure it is even gold filled as no markings of any kind on it. Got some lead, another foreign looking coin with 10 on it and a token of sorts. A type I hadn't found before. Also got 2 Skechers buttons, but left the near rotted shirt behind. HH jim tn

That looks like a good fun day...just paralelling the trails, taking it easy and still finding silver! You da Man, Jim! Oh, Hey, Howard Berry up on the Explorer forum found a gold coin that came in like a tab...just thought you should know.

I saw that Mud. And thanks loads. Great find, for sure. Quite frankly, the woods are no longer a safe haven for pull tabs and larger chunks of foil. If it beeps, less big sounding bottle caps, I pretty much dig it. HH jim tn
