Introducing: Killer "XP" Headphones!!

Just kidding, but I just finished making the best set of deus headphones ever! I had a set of killer b camo ctx specific headphones for my ctx(which I just sold) which use the 3 way switch to make them compatible with all makes of detectors including shutting off the speaker on the ctx. I love the fit of killer bs but had given up on them since they don't make any for the deus. I didn't really like any of the other available options because none of them had volume controls so they can be adjusted for each ear. I had then gave some thought about using the xp adaptor with my killer bs but then didn't want to have any cord hanging. Well, I finally gave up and just made my own set. I removed the cord then installed a 3.5mm port in the ear cup where the cord originally entered and then added a male to the cord itself. Next up came dismantling my backphones and taking the controller mount out. Long story short, I then mounted it to the cup, took a few minutes to figure out how to run wiring and saudering to the correct points inside the headphones and boom!!!! A perfect set of deus headphones that now have dual volume controls and that use the 3 way switch to utilize all different kinds of machines....sorry for the rant, just excited as killer b headphones fit my head the best by far and I really wanted the volume control....

Great solution for a fully versatile set of headphones.
I've always loved my Killer B's better than ANY OTHER headphone available...

thanks guys and same here Barry. In my opinion, nothing out there comes close to Killer Bs...

I did the same thing with a pair of Grey Ghost and pair of Koss UR30s ,both work great. Only difference is I made
my own adaptors

Are you going to sell more of these?

No plans to D...I have to cut up a pair of the backphones(like $19) and then my time doing them, it would just be to expensive to sell....

What is the yellow thingy sticking out?

Jim

Hey Jim, its a toggle switch like ray said...this pair is a one of done by killer b though..they have the 3position switch and are compatible with the ctx just like the ctx specific sunray pro golds...these will work properly with any detector and as of right now I am in the process of adding the guts from a set of wireless headphones so they can also be used with any detector wirelessly...

I love the WS4s especially in summer. But I would like to get large over-ear headphones for the Deus. I was going to go Grey Ghost, but I've read a few bad reviews about the tones.
So I guess the only option is Chefphones? Well, aside from dropping $450 on WS5s,

Even though I haven't used them I would look at the Vance muffs from Vance detecting. They use good speakers(like my killer b) and I have read the tones are really good in them.

well guys, been doing some more mods. I love the killer B xp but also wanted wanted to be able to run wireless with my other machines. I had a set of the rapoo h3070 wireless but I hated the cheap feeling headphones. I decided to do some fab work and made a hand mold that would slide onto the xp ws4 mount. long story short after a few days of tinkering around I now have can use my killer B headphones wirelessly with not on my deus but the etrac also!

Thanks rich! The hardest part was molding the white attachment piece to make it like the back of the ws4 headphones so it would clip on
