Iron infested site discrimination pattern:smile::thumbup:

I have a heavily iron filled 1800s lawn. I've found pennies and my 3rd wheatie yesterday. There is so much metal that I'm having great difficulties. I know there's silver here. It's just a matter of find something that works on the SE in order "ferret' it out.

Personally I feel discriminate with patterns and you lose some depth and coins next to iron..Many run the unit wide open and excel. Might skip over to treasureport to see some nice patterns and info.Nice part of an explorer it gives so many choices and works well in so many different settings.
Personally a small coil and putting fast on might also help....

I rarely increase success by fiddling with the settings. Changing coil sizes has worked (but for me going bigger has worked better than going smaller). Also opening up the screen more and putting my brain to work sometimes works. Most of the time the sites are just so trashy that the only thing you can do is remove the large junk and hope.
