As I mentioned, many times cleaning out an early site of all it's iron trash can be good in 2 ways. The iron masks those thin, little flat buttons & coins. Plus, there are some fine iron relics that everyone else passed over....(yea, OK me too)
Here's a shot of the "better" iron relics. A couple hand-forged Colonial hooks, a wedge, a big door latch, iron buckles, & a pretty cool padlock (mid-1800's?) with it's key in the same hole. I'll preserve them all with electrolosis soon.......HH, Bill
