Is anyone a metal detecting club member

I have never been to a club, there are none close to me . So me and a friend are thinking about starting one. What are the advantages , how much are dues , how often do you meet and so on? Any and all information will be appreciated. I need to learn as much as possible and I know yall can help me. Thanks Travis.
