Is it just me?

It's amazing the amount of dirt that falls back in the hole. I dig it out and it falls back in. It seems like there is a dirt magnet somewhere in the bottom of the hole. It sometimes seems to defy gravity.

When I think I have a silver target and it's not, more often or not it's a Canadian penny.

About the time I really zone out I get a really sweet signal, but I can't find it again because I wasn't paying attention.

You keep hitting the same spot because it was really great 10 years ago. You know there has to be at least one more keeper there, but you haven't found one there in the last 10 years.

I go for hours without getting a decent signal. My swinging arm is about to fall off so I start swing the detector with my other arm. Automatically I get a decent signal.

yeah I think it is *L* Find a new site.
As for switching arms - you may be swinging the machine improperly due to fatigue, and therefore finding little until you switch arms.

As for dirt, I use a very large cloth napkin to pile the dirt on and place it close to hole. clean up is much easier that way.
