Right now going to the beach its between 10.5 d.d. 7.5 coil vs. the 18.75 kHz coil.Have a new 3 kHz coil but have not used it saving it for open field.I have put a bead of silicone around the 18.75 kHz coil, hope it helps.Appreciate any feed back.Thank you.

Silicone around where the cable goes into the grommet, and where the grommet goes into the coil, as well as sealing the cover to the coil. Then it will be as good as it can get. Just don't submerge the coil and you'll be fine. It's the pressure from submersion that causes problems.

The HF DD Elliptical is not waterproof. Submerging in the water is not a good idea, its a pressure thing. it can take a splash, morning dew or a light rinse.
The 6" HF DD is waterproof. .
* If your going to try in the wet sand you will have to turn the Sensitivity way down. Good Luck
