Is the Gold Bugs audio signal in stereo?

OK so I'm half deaf! Really I cant hear sounds in my left ear below 80 decibel's.
So I'm wondering, do you all hear stereo in the signal? I can hear if its round or open in the center and pick shapes pretty well, But does the mono stereo switch on your head phones do anything for your signal intelligence? Do you guys feel the detectors you use are in stereo?
The ENT says I have two options hearing aid or prosthetic bones in my ear. I can hear the world just fine:sleepy: I want to hear my detector better so I'm thinking about building a single channel amp circuit for the left channel on the head phones.
Your thoughts are appreciated.

Well I took it apart and indeed the gold bug signal is not in stereo. The Left and Right are connected on the PWB board for the 1/8 jack and on the jack for the 1/4 its jumped.:smoke:
