Is the Goldscan 5 splash proof?

johnny nj

New member
I will be buying either a aquasearch or GS5 by spring. I need something that has more power than my Excal/Wot to give me the edge when the beaches are sanded in.. Thanks for any info HH Johnny nj

Did you happened to read the website? here is quote: "The control box is rain, spray, and dustproof, for reliable outdoor use". The Aquasearch is only good for 6'. If you need depth and waterproof you would have to go with the Garrett PI's, White's SM Pro or HH PI. Don

Or find a used Aquastar which is good for diving also.

I have a Goldscan 5 Demo unit ready to go, and I have a used Deepstar.

If you want to contact me I'll give you the particulars.
