Is the gti 1500 good for relic hunting:detecting::csflag:

The GTI has it's strengths with coin and jewelry hunting. It will accurately size those targets in the top several inches, whereas the accuracy of those size ID's starts to level off. If you are a coin/jewelry hunter, hunt parks, playgrounds and sports fields where pretty well all the shallow coins (to 6 inches) are, then the GTI should be your choice. The bonus is in the time you save by NOT digging junk targets, concentrating on coin sized objects. The step up from the GTI 1500, the GTI 2500 is a GTI 1500 PLUS a true all metal mode, when utilized, still gives a conductivity (target discrimination) reading but not it's true size. It is the better choice for relic hunting.

Hope this helps.....
