Is the LTD worth the jump

I have a reg F75 and only hunt old stuff , old houses and cellar holes .
Is the LTD worth the jump . Thanks Mike

Mike, as you perhaps have noted, there have been a few posts indicating that the bp mode is a little much for hunting very trashy sites and that the de mode is best under those hunting conditions. Personally, I disagree. In the bp mode I am finding clad and silver coins severely masked that I missed (more then once) with my F 75 and using different coils. For me, the extra boost of the bp mode enhances the "tic's" of the coins being masked. In many instances when switching back and forth between bp and de, the tic tone is barely noticable, if at all in some cases. For me the LTD was "worth the jump." But for some, it could be to much, too. HH jim tn

I second that...the LTD is a big step up! I don't know what is going to be the next new machine but unmasking is the main problem that has kept a lot of history hidden from us. The LTD is more stable then the F75 is deeper in my ground and the air gap comes into play this time of year when the weeds are growing faster then the day is long...

Ditto what's been said. It depends on how serious you are about wanting find what you're looking for. The LTD has the capability if you can unleash it and take the time to learn it's language. I want all the help I can get in a world where most of the good places have at least been gone over once. I value my time and like bringing home the goodies. Every edge helps, but you must learn how to use your tools.

I would never have believed it but a couple of days ago I was in Atlanta at a couple of small lawns on McKinley Rd, near Collier and Howell Mill Rd, that area... First I tried the E-TRAC and I marked some signals (I use pieces from an old RISK game).
I then checked markers with the SovereignGT and it was too jumpy to use, even in AUTO sens... and that is a rare thing. Next I checked with the V3 using the 5.3 coil, it didn't hit some and was rather unsable... I will say that the one it didn't hit, the F75 LTD didn't hit it as good either.
Then I tried the LTD, in BP, one tone, disc=6, sens=50. I also used AM some with the sens on 50 and in BP.

IT was quiet and stable and gave a correct TID on everything I dug. I quickly moved from the front yard because I was getting clad and didn't think it worth the possibility of leaving any signs of digging, I may try again next week after the rain.

I moved to the back, to an area that is flat and sandy. It is about 20x20 at the most and it has been hunted before by my with the ET and someone Roy with a V3... IIRC. I dug four more bullets and some odd pieces that look period. Two of the bullets were fired Confederate and two were smalled more modern bullets. The LTD performed like a champ, it was quiet and locked right in on the targets without too much jumping around like the original. I checked one target with the button (switching to DE mode) and barely got a chirp one way.

The LTD is more than worth it. It is really amazing once you begin to get used to it.

Julien i would love to see your assault vehicle with all those weapons [detectors]
Thanks for the replies . The LTD is on order all ready and my thoughts like some here are with sites harder to come by
all the time, i want to get all i can out of the ground .

I might have bought a LTD on the first run but i don't like to buy anything on first release
and by the time the reviews were out thy were gone HH Mike

I think you are really going to like BP once you get it in your hands and start using it.
