Is the standard 8" Open-Face coil on the Gamma 6000 waterproof ?

I recently sent an E-mail to Mike Scott at Teknetics regarding the subject question. Pasted below are copies of my E-mail and his reply. Perhaps this duplicates the information in someone else's post and if so, I apologize. Anyway, I hope this helps.

Yes its waterproof and you can take it as deep as the detector will allow-just don
