Again - some interesting finds you made. I wasn't able to see the coin on the site you listed well enough to determine what it might be. A US large cent is 29 mm in diameter and a half cent is 22-23 mm diameter so these sizes might help you determine the coin in your picture. Happy hunting!
 
I couldn't see much detail, that didn't look like a coin issued by the United States.
What I could make out doesn't look familiar. Sorry I couldn't have been more help.

Not enough detail on that corroded copper to identify. It does not look like a U.S. coin, but I am not sure.
