It Could Have Been Gold!...A Short Hunt.....

Goldstrike

Well-known member
A less than 2 hr hunt in a park yielded a cheap but pretty ring (which I'll give to my sweet 6 year old granddaughter)! The remnants of a spoon or fork, 2 little flattened copper amusement park memento's and a few clad coins.
3 weeks ago, I took a fall and sprained my ankle pretty badly so it took some effort to get out and detect a little today! Thankfully, it's almost back to normal but it still hurts some! G.L. & H.H. all.

when I 1st started MDing I would get all excited when finding a ring, thinking it's gold. I've been burned so many times with junk I now assume everything is junk until proven otherwise. Less of a let down that way. But when I find those silver rings there's just about no doubt they are silver. I'm sure the grand daughter will love that ring it's a nice looking ring. Congrats.

Nice short park hunt there, what ID did the ring hit on.

Rob.....the ID danced around a little but it came up around 25 to 27 with a low tone which surprised me because I think it's copper (non magnetic) at least copper is the color showing through. Copper usually I.D.'s in the high 30's. There are always surprises with this hobby and your never done learning!
