It is 6F outside and the wind is gusting up to 30 MPH! I have the woodstove fired up and it is around 75F here in my house. All I can do is dream about where and how I will hunt different areas! I am sooo ready for spring to arrive! Is anybody else suffering through this cold snap? Anybody getting all that snoe on the east coast?:garrett:

Yes Oakman

It was 57 here in central Florida and it is supposed to freeze again tonight and frost again tomorrow!

I am sorry guys I just have to jab when I can. If you were ar Floridian as I am you'd be freezing your ass off as I am. It is true the blood does thin out when you move down here.

I feel for all of you. I used to live in Maryland and I don't miss any of it.

I take that back I do miss the seasons...we go from hot as hell summer straight to winter here. The leaves don't even have a time to change. Then in the spring (which we should be having now) it does the opposite! Cold to hot as hell...no in between no graduality in any of it.

Oh ya, I am getting the snow here in New England... We got 9 inches of the aggrivation last night here in western Massachusetts. It's 15 here as of now with a wind chill of 2... Wood stove is blazing here too.

All I ask for is some rain to melt this snow from this yard so I can search it before I move to FL in April.... It's a 200 year old house, with a big yard and trees everywhere. There is bound to be something there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus my 250 sits in the corner begging to go outside, I have to console it daily, the poor thing.

yes DJR, I know the feeling in Florida, BUT... I was there for 14 years until last December, and I am ready to go back!!! Forget this 10 degree, constant snow, ice storm tundra!!!!!!!!!!

Haaa! I hear ya! If your not moving till April you will get your chance to search that yard. My sister in law lives in Conn and you will get some good weather by April! Not much but some.:garrett:

I sure hope so, I stare out there EVERY day wondering. It doesn't help that I sit right in front of the window to the back yard while I'm on the computer!!! :rage: It's supposed to be rediculously cold the next couple days, then warm up and possibly rain this weekend a bit. Hopefully this Nor'easter was the LAST storm. But this is New England....

Well hallelujah... We are going to get temps in the 50's to 60's here, and rain!!! I hope this is the beginning of the end of the winter. I need to go tect out there!!!!!!!!!!

its supposed to be nearly 50 here in Wisconsin the next few days, too bad there is nearly 1 foot of snow on the ground, and the ground is hard as a rock. At least the snow should be gone by the weekend, then we can start on the frost. hopefully i will be swinging by April 1

I dig in the frozen ground with a screw driver. If there is no snow and it's above 32F, I'm goin tectin!:garrett:

Lots of snow here in Vermont also. Can't wait to get out when the snow melts. CA441970, good luck on the old house. Our house is over 200 years old and we have found some really good stuff here, along with lots of junk.

I ACTUALLY SEE GRASS!!!!!! I am going out to detect the non snow covered areas of my yard as of right now!!! Wahooooo!!!!!

well here in N.H. it's finally starting to melt pretty well which is good cause, I have slept as much as I want to in between job hunting and researching for new area's so l say "send in the robin's"
