I just noticed the banner at the top of the of Findmall for a new Minelab machine called the 3030. It looks like it'll been an improved and waterproofed E-Trac. I was wondering when they were going to update it. It looks like it will be a week before they release all the details and the 28th of the month till it goes on sale. Having it waterproof will reduce the number of detectors a beach hunter would need to own. I don't imagine that it will be significantly better, but it does seem to have a GPS function included which some might find useful.
I expect that an updated X-Terra shouldn't be too far away.
