is there someone out there that could please give me a list of every single coil that would work on a Whites Classic 3 SL? If not...its Ok!

If it is a 6.59kHz coil and has the right plug, it should work...
They made a 3.5, 5.3, 600, 7.8, 800, 950, (Jimmy Sierra-Bigfoot, Hotfoot, Excellerator), and a big 15" coil...They also made the DD coils 4x6 and 3x9 I think they were...There may be others I missed...

The part about "that would work" leaves a lot of opinion that could limit the search coils one might suggest. :)

As a matter of fact, I'll insert my opinion right here and it is based on having personally owned and/or tried them in the field. Of all the aftermarket search coils that have been made that I have enjoyed on the several Classic III's I have owned, as well as the Classic ID and IDX Pro's and XLT's and XL Pro's, the ONLY one that I really had decent performance from was the 5.5 Ferret Hot Head coil that was made for Kellyco. I owned several of them and never had a problem with any. Plus, they provided excellent depth and general performance, and were killers in trashy sites or when hunting around brush or building rubble.

I've used other aftermarket search coils, but none of them provided me any worthwhile performance on the Classic III SL's or other models, and some were just too big, too heavy, or too awkward.

Now, for the factory produced offerings. There are two coils that I would NOT use on a Classic III SL or similar coil-compatible model. They are the 15" and the BlueMax Shooter coil (sometimes called 4X6 and sometimes 3X6 but still the same search coil). I had three I owned or worked with and their performance was well below what I got out of the same size and design coil for the M6 and MXT (the Eclipse version) or even the offering for the Prizm or Coinmaster series.

So, other than the 5.5 Ferret coil from Kellyco's older Hot Head offerings, the only coils that work well on the Classic III and similar mentioned models, for me, include the following:

The 4" Snooper coil, and this was labeled the BlueMax 350. It would out-perform the BlueMax Shooter elliptical DD coil every time.

The 6

Hey Monte..what's up? I am the one that you sold your Classic 3-SL with the 5.5 Ferret and Mr Bills mods to about 12 years ago to.I still use it and it still works great! What I meant to say was every coil that Whites made for it..not after market coils.I know about a few after market coils but haven't researched the rest.I can not find any more of the Ferret coils anywhere on earth. If mine ever stopped working it seems like it's next to impossible to replace the 5.5.Ferret! Years ago I purchased a Whites 3.5 snooper from someone but the person vanished along with my money and I lost on that deal.Anyway I have been looking around for another coil to try on my C3SL but I'm not quite sure which one or what size.I have no idea how coils of similar size of the Ferret would compare.I found a nice silver dime with the Ferret at an old church that I got permission to search. That little coil is the Cat's-Meow in trash and in iron on the C3SL.Of course the C3SL is great in iron anyway as You already know. In my ground the mineral content is med to low but most of the places I hunt are trashy so the small coils always gets the job done! The expanded low end disc using the black sand circuit is one the best things about the C3SL. One thing about this detector is that every single knob and switch and control is useful. No useless knobs, switches or controls on this detector. It has everything to get the job done! Well, enough rambling so thanks for the reply and it's good to hear from you again.
Long Live The Classics!!!!!!!!!!!!!
