Got my T2 today and am really looking forward to testing it. The fun thing is I have tested a lot of detectors and kept the whites XL6000 Pro and the fisher 70 pro. Would love to have a third unit but am picky. After testing and using so many top of the line detectors it is more fun to test them then keep them...but when it comes to finding one that you can't live without then it is really fun.

I have read a lot about the new detectors that have come out and the T2 seems to have a few things I don't have. One would be from what I have read it is great in trash and iron as far as reading targets close by one another. Masking is another one. So that is what I am looking for. Didn't like the numbers on the Fisher coinstrike didn't like that machine and I gave it a few months but liked the XLT and DFX. 80 and above was silver or quarters. So I have nothing to lose and now I am into looking for gold do I dig a lot of trash..the 6000Xl has the best meter in the world and I almost always know when I hit gold...gold falls into zinc on the meter and so do silver rings and gold coins. This detector is very sensitive to small targets like paper clips and small gold chains.

Anyway it is fun to test a machine and I will be very fair with the T2 and give it them time it takes for me to understand it before I judge it.

I do hope I love it because it is about time a new player came into the mix and let the big boys take notice. It seems like white's has kind if dropped the ball and are they going to do something state of the art soon. Fisher kind of did the same and mine-lab made a two freq machine where you have to bring coils with you in the field to use different KHZ.

So we may have a new boy in town maybe to wake the others up. It is all good and fun and I would love to see this detector become a classic.

Let us know how that puppy does. We look forward to your posts....Starting tomorrow okay! hehehe

Hi Lawrenzo! Are you hunting salt water beaches? I am currently using the Excalibur as my beach favorite but have a T-2 and CZ 70 on the way
from Mr. Bill. If hunting saltwater beaches, how do you like the CZ 70? Have you used it on land? My favorite on land is the Explorer
(for now...)How do you like the Whites 6000 at the beach?

Thanks,
Glenn in San Diego

To answer your question ,the cz lines are very hard to beat.. I have never used an explorer.. heard they are great also. I have tried many other detectors and always seem to go back to fisher cz. Am at this time seriously thinking about a new cz 70 pro. have a used cz5 on its way. Really wanting to try a T-2,but get concerned when reading nuts are falling off and ect. All the bugs may not be worked out as of yet???? time will tell. You cant go wrong with the cz 70 pro.....Sonny

I would say stick with you cz...I had one and never will again. There are better machines out there to choose from.As far as bugs on the T2 I am not concearned with The nut issue.Locktite or clear finger nail Polish or a drop of glue or teflon tape will take care of this problem. It really doesnt matter which one ...all will work.

The majority of fisher users will not agree with that one.... I think. Did you not like your cz???? I am ordering a NEW cz 70 pro. and seriously considering ordering the T-2. What is your input on the T-2??? Have a used cz 5 on the way.... About the only thing I have not tried is the T-2.. Really did not give the coinstrike the 50 or so hours that it takes they say... lawrenzo apparently was not crazy about the T-2????????????????????

:stars: in record time. But that's cool because the T2 rocks, the others just roll.:wiggle:

Hello Buttondigger,

I'm the one who bought the T2 from LCPM, We meet on the Freeway near his home. Lcpm is still new to relic hunting and learning how to adjust to this type of hunting style, After showing him the advantage of the T2 and another detector I had on hand for hunting sites with iron masking he'll be back on board later with another T2, I can already see Lcpm trying out the T2 again in the future.

Already, I can see the advantage for owning the T2, It's not a toy as some may view the detector but a machine to be proud off for sure.

Hey Paul,
It to me is a machine that won't be popular with the turn on and go crowd. Experience with ground balance is certainly a plus. It has radical new features not found on other detectors. Tell me one machine where tone Id does more then just make different sounds?? One machine that the sound and meter work independent?Only one Whites gold machine gives a ferrous reading. You will love it at the beach. It will zone your ferrous and magnetic black sand deposits. In the dry stuff its a depth alien, very sensitive to gold and platinum objects. In trash as you know it seperates very well and responds very fast to conductors. The big plus to me is it is comfortable to use, no hip mounting. Keep us posted on your success . Just dont get Rick to go bungie jumping while he is waiting the big thaw. Complete control, no difficult programs to remember, easy adjustments. The Alien rocks. The others just roll.:wiggle: Tex

because they don't make a small coil for it? hahahahahahaha! I will agree, the C$ is one of my favorite machines, but for ease of use, great target seperation, fairly good sweep speed, hip mountability, and deep, you can't hardly beat a CZ, like the CZ5 & CZ70.

The only reason I traded my CZ70 was, I had this Minelab itch to scratch. But one of these days, I will mostlikely get another.

I have thought about getting rid of one of the two c$'s that is in my house right now....because of the lack of no small coil. Fisher needs to get one made.Even without the small coil it is still the best fisher ever made. The cz was a big disappointment.....will not own another one. However i have had 3 c$ .....2 i still own.

Hello Buttondigger,

Right on! As you say it wont' be poplar with the "turn on and go group" but will be a weapon in the hands of a skilled person who can use the proper manual GB during operation.

Ok, I'll keep you and the other posted, So far it's a killer machine, Dave Johnson did well on this beauty :)

you're going to like the T2. It has great depth in the all metal mode.
That manual ground balance is very easy to adjust.
