IT FINALLY HAPPENED TESOROS BEING SOLD BY KELLYCO.ALSO TESORO'S PRICES HAVE SHOT UP:shrug:IT WILL NOT BE LONG THE REST WILL FOLLOW.CANNOT UNDERSTAND WITH THE WAY THE ECONOMY IS WHY PRICES KEEP INCREASING:confused:
 
Knowing Kellyco's history, one cannot but wonder if the Tesoro's are 'repacks', as most of the other detectors are thought to be? What's interesting is that most, if not all, of the 'local dealers' have prices that match or beat Kellyco's prices. I gave serious thought to buying a new Vaquero before I purchased the X-terra 505 and found the 'local price' to be as good or better than Kellyco's prices.
So my conclusion is: SHOP YOUR LOCAL DEALER FIRST!

Hi guys!
We are excited to be carrying Tesoro! Couple things to address above :)
1. We do NOT repack or sell anything besides brand new machines. (Unless it's one of the Used ones listed on the site or in showroom of course!). All of our machines are brand new and direct from the manufacturer. Anyone can call Tesoro, White's, Garrett, etc and they will assure you that Kellyco purchases thousands of new Detectors yearly. Now, that said, we DO open the box when we get it in order to check to make sure everything is in there, add our invoice, customer survey and sometimes a little extra packing. At no time is the detector changed or altered.
2. Tesoro requires MAP/MSP pricing. We are not allowed to raise or lower this. If any dealer is giving you a lower price then they are in violation of Tesoro's terms and can only do it for a wee bit! We don't do that.

It's good to know you sell 'ONLY' new machines. For years, the talk was that Kellyco sold a lot of 'Repacks'. Personally I've purchased 'Reconditioned' things, in other electronic areas, and haven't had bad luck with 'Repacks', so I'm not concerned about it but many others won't do it. I always figured that, if the factory checked the 'item' out and found it to be okay, then who am I to argue? It's been my experience that 'Repacks' have saved me a bundle of money over the years. However, I've not purchased a 'Repacked' detector but would consider it, if the price was reflective of that fact and if it came with a full warranty. Glad you cleared it all up for us. If you don't mind, I'd still rather support my local dealer. Thanks just the same for the information.

I've got no problem with that at all! We ARE a local dealer in Orlando and sure hope central florida supports us! LOL.
I think reconditioned items if handled properly are great...but you need to be told that before purchasing. Once I lost a cell phone and it had insurance and I was excited about the replacement phone. It was a reconditioned phone. Worked out just fine, but disappointing when you are expecting brand new! Just wanted to clear up that we don't do that :) Happy hunting!!

Hello - many years ago I had a bad experience with Kellyco regarding a detector purchase that fell through. Since then I have not dealt with them but just now I ordered 6 coil covers for my Fisher 1266 X from them.
Could you check some time to see if all's ok for them to be sent ? Between the prior experience and my detector being older I would like to know for sure.

I dont want to start a tiff,about Kellyco,but ALL the purchases I made from there-including my Garrett 1350GTA,and my Fisher 1280X,were bought from them-NO problems whatsoever................
