So I decided to go clad stabbing today for a couple of hours. So I am going along just a little less than the speed of light and my fist coin I hit was this silver quarter.
How is a feller going to change his style of hunting when he runs into this?

I want you to know.. We all feel terrible for you Ron.. I mean to say. "it's a shame a man can't go clad stabbing", without those pesky Silvers getting in the way..

Tell you what Sir..Send me that quarter, and forget you ever found it.. I'll rebury it up North so you'll never find it again..

Yes, quite a drag.
Last week I was at a site and I was aiming for gold rings but found clad and wheaties.
Aimed for wheaties but found a silver coin instead.
Changed and looked for more silver coins but wouldn't you know it, a stupid gold ring gets in the way.
Some days you just can't catch a break.
I feel for you.

 Great! Now go out there hunting for tabs and just try to keep the gold from jumping into your pouch!

Silver has been hunted for so long now whats left has gotten very smart....it sees an old guy easing along at a snails pace, and tries to to flip, roll, dig deeper, hide behind a nail, stand up on edge, anything to get out of the coils path!...When you are moving really briskly, the silver thinks your just another old guy taking a stroll, and is laying there getting some sun completely unaware you are hunting for it!
Your stalking speed fooled that one! :clapping:

................ I believe you got it Ron ............. of course I'll take any other silver you get so as to keep you happy..

Yeah, For Sure! Everything that Man overhunts gets smart...I once saw a whole herd of Barber dimes hopping across the road like a pack of silvery baby toads...they were heading out of a park just as a crew of detectorists were setting up for a club hunt...so a guy has to out strategize them!

Take deer for instance, they know if you are dressed in camo and sneaking around, you are probably up to no good, but, if you wearing a pink tuxedo and marching around in the woods blowing on a kazoo, and banging on a pot with a soup spoon, well, they all just HAVE to take a look at that, then BANG! Fooled Ya, you stupid deer! Oh, and Definitely 'pretend' you are not 66!....think 21, Youth is wasted on the Young, if you cant fool anybody else, then at the very least you can fool yourself!
