... not only do you have more history, you're now shoving all of your rotten, cold weather out West

Or, maybe it's that dratted "global warming" causing the temperatures to plummet... or, could it be that it's just winter???

Whatever it is - it's too danged cold here to do much of anything outside.

OK, ghidorah... dig up some old stuff for us house-bound West-coasters...

I was out for about 4 hours. I am surprised I made it that long as I have a slight head cold and maybe a slight temperature so I feel kind of run down but not too bad. Into about the 3rd hour of hunting I said to myself as I am digging a signal of 3-28, "Man, I am tired and rundown. I am going home after this one" and out pops a 1924 Merc. So I stayed for another hour and picked up a 1946 wheatie and what looks like an old horse bell? I have another coin soaking. it looks like an old wheatie.

The Chucky cheese token really got me going. When I first popped it out of the ground I was thinking, old colonial coin or something and then I seen the dreaded rat head. The guy who started this chain was Atari founder Nolan Bushnell. Bushnell

That old wheatie that I had soaking is starting to look like an old barber dime. I can tell by the inner circle on the back. It is heavily encrusted. We shall see ...

twenty below zero here, no digging for me or even going outside without my wiskers freezing instantly.:lmfao:

-20

6:05 PM west coast, just got back from 3 hrs on Pismo Beach, a little wind and temp in the mid 50s with rain clouds on the horizon. found some clad, a dog tag. Not my best day, but any day I can hunt is a good day.

I could go to my regular spot OR I could fool with my new machine, the Infinium at the beach but it does look like rain later on, decisions, decisions. :nopity:

What state are you in? It was almost that warm in MA yesterday. I hit my main "way-home" park last night figuring it would be the last time hitting it for the year. Got my first Merc spill ('35 and '44) and four '40+ wheats. That was a nice ending for the year. I expect from now on there won't be much detecting except, on occasion, trying to dig in the woods where it's easier when it's frozen. And maybe the beach once in a while. Wish I lived closer to the beach for winter hunts.

I'm right next door -- Pawtucket,RI. My fever let up a bit. I think I''ll get out today for a little. It's 38 and overcast. I am not too far from the beaches either. I am itching to try my Infinium. That machine is amazing. I could air test coins, rings etc, 3 feet off the ground! You bring a shovel when you use that machine, heehee.
